Gentoo currently has 29,026 properties located in predominately 5 geographical management areas in the City of Sunderland, Houghton/Hetton and Washington. Within this housing stock 28,324 are tenanted properties and 702 are leasehold. The numbers of tenanted and leasehold properties may vary throughout the duration of the Programme.

Bell Group are completing redecoration works to the communal areas of sheltered housing, low, medium and high-rise blocks; associated works which are required to be completed in conjunction with the decoration such as minor repairs to fascia’s, soffits, skirting boards, door frames, etc. Commonly referred to as pre-paint repairs.

Additional works also include the re-decoration of garage doors and frames, fencing and gates.

As part of our collaborative working practices any courses we hold would be open to Gentoo Staff Members or customers where numbers permit.

DIY/ Skills days – As part of our commitment to the communities in which we work, we regularly hold DIY/Skills days, where our clients and their customers can come into a selected venue and learn about the world of painting & decorating and try out their skills in a practical setting under the guidance of one of our training mentors.

Community Events – Bell Group regularly get involved in community events as part of our commitment to giving back. Events take many forms, shapes and sizes and are all about delivering social value whether it be bringing communities together, delivering environmental improvements to an area or focussed around educational activities, we are committed to inspire people in appositive way to improve themselves or the area in which they live and work.
