Healthcare Repairs and Maintenance

Our experience in the healthcare industry spans over 30 years, therefore we understand the importance of minimising our disruption and ensuring we remain sensitive to the needs of all stakeholders.

Healthcare Maintenance

We carry out circa £10 million of work for 28 NHS Trusts per annum

When it comes to healthcare maintenance and refurbishment projects, our team understand that the safety and comfort of the patients and staff is of the utmost importance. That’s’ why we work hard to minimise our disruption throughout the project and will work closely with all stakeholders to ensure they are updated throughout the works. Our team has vast experience in hospital building maintenance, hospital facilities maintenance, hospital refurbishments, care home and clinic maintenance from redecorating through to electrical works and fire upgrades.

We are an Estates Business Agency list of approved contractors and have worked in major hospitals throughout the UK. Our projects range in value from £1000- £1,000,000 and include a variety of works from full hospital refurbishment to maintenance, including joinery repairs, kitchen and bathroom replacements, flooring, furniture fitting, ceilings, electrical works, fire upgrades and facilities maintenance and redecorations to:

  • Communal Areas
  • Theatres
  • Wards
  • Staff Quarters
  • Kitchens
  • Canteens
  • Residential Blocks
  • Clinics

In addition to hospital refurbishment and maintenance projects, we also undertake maintenance and refurbishment works within clinics and care homes via our collaborative agreements with Bupa, Voyage Care, Keys Group and HC One to name a few.

Our experienced and substantial presence within the healthcare industry means we can offer clients timely proposals of any size, which can be fully resourced at short notice. We understand the difficulties of maintenance in the Healthcare sector and aim to make the procurement and execution of works an easy process from start to finish.

Qualified Healthcare Building Contractors

At Bell, we view each healthcare refurbishment or maintenance contract as a partnership. Our long-standing relationships with NHS Trusts and care providers reflect our ability to deliver high standards while remaining responsive to the changing demands of clinical and residential settings.
We are an approved Estates Business Agency contractor, with extensive experience delivering works across hospitals, residential care blocks, and medical clinics. Our team is fully DBS-checked and trained to work in sensitive healthcare environments.

Patients and residents’ safety is at forefront of our service

During works, the safety and well-being of the stakeholders is our utmost priority. Therefore, we work closely with key staff at each site to ensure effective segregation of our works.  Prior to commencement each day we liaise with staff to outline our works and any key risks.

To ensure we minimise our disruption and maintain safety of all stakeholders, we begin communications with key stakeholders at the earliest convenience such as ward managers in hospitals and care home/clinic staff to ensure they are fully informed of the works. From here we look to establish any key dates to consider within our programme to ensure minimal disruption.

Owing to these sensitive environments, we can confirm that all members of our workforce delivering works are DBS cleared and trained.

Delivering a value for money service.

We understand the importance time and costs play within the work we carry out and ensure they are considered at every stage of our service provision. Our Pricing and Management staff stay abreast of up-to-date product information through close liaison with specialist manufacturers and suppliers to the industry, to provide our clients with the best value solutions to their needs.
