Full Turnkey Retrofit for 150 Occupied Rural Homes
Project Overview
We delivered a comprehensive, turnkey retrofit programme for 150 occupied rural homes, transforming a mix of semi-detached houses, bungalows, and terraced properties with high-performance, future-ready energy upgrades.
This large-scale project, delivered in partnership with LiveWest, reflects our capability to lead complex retrofit programmes to the highest regulatory and performance standards — with zero disruption to residents and measurable energy efficiency gains.
With every property occupied throughout the works, our delivery focused on quality, consistency, and minimal disruption, achieving measurable energy savings while aligning with the Building Safety Act 2022 and Building Regulations 2010.
Retrofit Scope
Our in-house delivery team managed the full installation of:
- External Wall Insulation (EWI)
- Solar PV with battery storage
- High-performance windows and doors
- High Heat Retention Storage Heaters (HHSRA)
- Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery (MVHR)
- Loft, underfloor, and cavity wall insulation
- Advanced internal lighting upgrades
All works were carried out in compliance with PAS 2035:2023, Building Regulations 2010, and the Building Safety Act 2022.


In-House Delivery, End-to-End Control
Our Exeter-based team of certified professionals included:
- NICEIC-certified electricians
- Accredited roofers and insulation specialists
- Retrofit Manager, Electrical Project Manager, Site Manager, QS, PAS 2035 Coordinator
- Full-time Resident Liaison Officer (RLO)
We took full responsibility for planning, execution, and quality assurance — streamlining delivery and maintaining full control over workmanship and compliance.

- Community engagement meetings
- Clear scheduling and access coordination
- Ongoing communication throughout the works
This resident-first model ensured high satisfaction, minimal disruption, and excellent feedback.
On-Site Management & CDM Compliance
As Principal Designer and Contractor, we managed all CDM 2015 requirements, risk assessments, and site safety. Our site management team ensured all work met the Building Regulations 2010 and the evolving requirements of the Building Safety Act 2022, creating safe, energy-efficient homes with robust quality assurance in place.A dedicated site team ensured quality, safety, and programme control.
